The California Association for Play Therapy is approved by the Association for Play Therapy (APT) to offer continuing education specific to play therapy. APT Approved Provider #00-094 maintains responsibility for the programs. Play therapy credit is only awarded to mental health professionals.


The California Association for Play Therapy is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The California Association for Play Therapy maintains responsibility for the programs and its contents. 


The California Association for Play Therapy has been approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC ) as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7409.  The California Association for Play Therapy is solely responsible for all aspects of the ​programs.


Not all courses are approved by each agency. Programs that do not qualify for APT, APA, and/or NBCC credit are clearly identified.  See each individual course description for specific approval information.
