APT
Aids Tsunami Victims
On
January 28, 2005, a select group of APT members went to Sri Lanka
to provide psychological first aid to victims of the tsunami. These
members included:
Jodi Smith. LCSW
President of our San Bernadino chapter. She works with crisis and trauma victims
and volunteers with the Red Cross. Visit her blog and see her pictures at

Janine Shelby, Ph.D, BCETS, RPT-S
President of the Foundation for Play Therapy. She is the chief psychologist in
the Child Crisis Center, Department of Pediatrics, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Long term Red Cross volunteer and a consultant for the National Center for Child
Traumatic Stress. She coordinated this effort with OperationUSA, the Foundation
Board, and APT staff
Kate Amatruda, LMFT
UC Berkeley Adjunct Faculty. Has done a great deal of relief work. She is an
ARC Disaster Mental Health member and CAMFT Trauma Response Network Responder.
